Mr. Oscar Liu is an excellent violinist and experienced violin teacher. He is a member of BC Registered Music Teachers' Association and The National Professional Music Teachers’ Association. He has taken part in various types of performances and has taught hundreds of students in class and privately. Many of his students are playing or have played an important role in Vancouver Youth Symphony Orchestra, Burnaby Symphony Orchestra, New Westminster Symphony Orchestra and Delta Symphony Orchestra. His students have received the highest mark from RCM grades examinations seven times. Trophies, scholarships and awards are often received by his talented students.

Mr. Liu used to be a student of Mr. Chen Luo of Shanghai Symphony Orchestra in China when he was young and later on he gained trains from professor Kexiang Li of Shanghai Conservatory. During

the period he was studying and teaching at Jiang Xi Provincial Literature and Art College, he was appointed a concert master of the school orchestra. His students obtained permanent positions in various music groups after graduation. In 1989 Mr. Liu immigrated to Canada . He further studied Violin with Mr. Arthur Polson and started his teaching career in Great Vancouver.

Mr. Liu offers one to one instruction and group lessons focusing on individual student’s musical needs, preparing students for examinations leading towards diploma and certification, music festivals, competitions, helping them to pass university entrance auditions or simply engage them for self enrichment and enjoyment purposes.
